Welcome....Ashley & Shelby! My 2 favorite sisters!

It's Tuesday so it's time to welcome another guest on The Denny Buzz!  I asked Ashley & Shelby to pop in today to share some fashion tips with us!  Ashley is my bff who I've known forever and Shelby is her fabulous sister!  They have just moved to NY and are in the fashion industry!  Without further adu....here they are!

Hi everyone! We are Ashley and Shelby from Sisters in the NYC. We live in Manhattan and Ashley is working in the fashion industry and Shelby is a fashion student at FIT. Brittany asked us to write something we know a lot about...some of the top budget friendly fashion trends for fall. 

So without further adu here we go:

1. Cable Knit Sweaters

Cable knit sweaters are such a classic staple but can be updated this fall by choosing one in a bright color or print. It is a great option for work paired with trouser pants or dressed down with jeans. We love this mint green one from H&M but you can find other options at Old Navy or J Crew that are also fabulous. 

2. Floppy Wool Hat

A lot of people do the floppy straw hat in the summer for trips to the beach but we love wearing hats in the fall and this is a great departure from the typical knitted beanie. The hat pictured is from Forever 21 several years ago but you can find similar here and here. 

3. Polka Dots

You can find polka dots all over everything this fall. You name it- shirts, pants, skirts, bags...you can buy it in a polka dot print. We love this sweater fromOld Navy but other options are this skirt from Ann Taylor Loft, this scarf from J Crew, or this umbrella from Gap. 

4. Sophisticated Animal Print

As a rule we generally stay away from animal prints because most of the time they end up looking trashy. However, this fall we have noticed animal prints appearing in a more sophisticated and interesting way than in the past. We love how subtle the print is in the blouse pictured and that the color palette is not typical. The classic leopard print looks fresh on this dress from Old Navy because the silhouette of the dress is conservative. 

5. Colored Denim

Colored denim is such a great and simple way to update your wardrobe. For fall stick with the darker more saturated colors like red, green, blue, orange, or mustard yellow. The pair pictured is from Urban Outfitters last year but they still have some great options this fall. Old Navy has some great choices right now as well.
