Shawn and I are thrilled to announce that we are having a baby GIRL! We found out at our 20 week check-up last Friday! During this appointment our doctor was doing a complete anatomical check, which she was vey squirmy during! We got to see her moving her sweet little feet and hands. At the end our doctor asked us if we had discussed gender at our last appointment. We told him that he mentioned it was looking like a boy at our 16 week appointment. He looked at the screen puzzled and said "I'm not seeing a boy!" He proceeded to say that it looked like he was seeing the umbilical cord at the last appointment and that it really looked like it was a girl!
After our appointment we went to dinner at Mi Cocina with our parents & Ash. We had ordered a cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes to reveal the gender. The cake is to die for - chocolate chocolate-chip! Since we were surprising our family, my mom had arranged for the bakery to give us a pink and a blue flower to place on top to reveal what we're having. After we ate we had everyone close their eyes while we placed the pink flower on top. Let me just say that we had a very impatient group of people with their eyes closed! :) Everyone was very surprised to see pink, especially since we had mentioned before that it was looking like it was a boy.
When we were all finished we went outside to take pictures. It was very windy but they turned out very cute!
