We've been blessed to have you with us for one month now! We can't believe how fast its gone by! We can't remember what our life was like without you in our arms! We've had so much fun getting to know you and your personality the last month. You are such a sweet and loving baby and everyone can't help but love you to pieces! We absolutely love everything about you! Your daddy comments daily (and sometimes multiple times in a day) "she is honestly the cutest baby ever"! He admits he knows that every parent says that but we're convinced you really are the most precious one of all! ;) Your grandparents adore you and love getting to spend one-on-one time with you!

You've had some tummy issues that we've been working on. We hate to see you in pain and hurting. We've changed your formula which seems to help a little. You've always been a good eater and you let us know when you're hungry by "eating your hands"! Currently you're eating 2 1/2 ounces every 2 hours during the day. Evenings are your fussy time but we've figured out music helps calm you down. You also love being walked around and laying flat on your back while we pump your legs to help your tummy. You've also always been a good sleeper and you're currently sleeping in your pack-n-play in our room at night. Initially at night you would go to bed at 11 pm and then wake up every 2-3 hours for your bottle. You're slowly going longer in between each feeding at night. It's so nice how you wake up to eat and then you go right back to sleep! We love having you in our room and being able to wake-up and check on you whenever we want to. Daddy still gets nervous at night and checks to make sure you're breathing but he's slowly getting more comfortable with it! You love your pacifier, "ducky"! It took us a while to find a pacifier that you liked! Mommy did not want you to start sucking your thumb so it was a must that we find one you liked! You like to tease mommy by starting to suck your thumb when you become impatient for your bottle! I have to admit, it really is cute when you suck your thumb, but the speech therapist in me can not support it little miss! ;)

You're still in newborn size diapers and you absolutely love laying on your changing pad! Everyone who has taken care of you always comments how relaxed and happy you are when you lay on it. You aren't a fan of tummy time unless you're asleep but we recently found out you have a hernia which might be the reason you don't like laying on your tummy. You seem to really enjoy bath time and looked so relaxed in your little tub! You have started to enjoy your swing more but get scared when you wake up in it. You enjoy riding in the car (well sleeping in the car) and you are such a great traveler! Once we got permission from the pediatrician we immediately started taking you out with us! We love to go out and roam and it's so nice to have a daughter who loves to roam with us!

You are opening your eyes more and more each day and are staying awake a little longer with each day. We adore seeing you look at us and it's so fun watching you discover all the things in your environments. You love looking at the fan and the wreath hanging above the fireplace! Your involuntary smiles warm our heart and we can't wait to see you purposefully smile and laugh! Mommy especially can't wait to see you smile at daddy and hear you laugh at him!

We are so blessed to have you in our lives Leightyn Joy and we can't wait to see what the next month holds for you!
All our love!
Mommy and Daddy
